Hello All,
I ran around a little to get the pictures I am posting; I went to Bridgeport, Milford and West Haven. since it was a doom and gloom kind of day today I had to adjust settings in my camera and play around with the vibrancy and saturation setting in photoshop as well. Nifty tool was the healing brush; I was able to remove debris from the road and steps as well as overgrown weeds from the cracks in the cement.

  1. My favorite one is the 4th up from the bottom as you are thinking about structure and symmetry here... One of the big pushes with this assignment is to try to see line and shape more abstractly and to not take pictures "of things"... meaning here is a statue, here is a parking meter, etc. In the bottom one you did move in close and looked at the monument in a more abstract way...

Huge tip going forward... avoid allowing any sky into your shot... especially on an overcast day. it tends to just blow out to white and draw your eye away from the focal point of the picture...

  2. The top one has a nice repetition going on... and the grayscale benches as well... they would improve by eliminating the sky and moving in closer...
